We had a great day out during the recent Burrows Drive Day at Sydney Motorsport Park. It’s been a long time since we were at this venue and really nice to share the track with some fast exotic machinery. Having over 400HP from the addition of a Rotrex supercharger made the Spartan a real blast to drive. Photo by Steven Duggan.

The first Spartan prototype was powered by a Ducati 1198S superbike engine. Running a Microtek ECU and mated to a Drexler FSAE chain drive LSD it produced 147HP at the rear wheels. Topgear Australia magazine featured the Spartan Prototype 1 in their June 2011 issue and the testing was completed by November 2011 on a private facility owned by Mark Wills who was as equally passionate about the Spartan project.
